Sequins are a kind of ornament in the shape of a thin disc with a hole, which allows to attach to clothing. They come in a variety of shapes and colors, although the most popular form is the round shape.

This ornament is often used to decorate regional folk costumes; this type of ornament is often found in Poland and Spain.
The sequins were originally made of metal, then galvanic gelatin, to be transformed into a mixture of mylar and acetate to arrive at the modern version: vinyl.
